With the COVID-19 pandemic still killing Americans, the murder of George Floyd on Monday, May 25, by Minneapolis police officers has inspired protests in dozens of American cities across the country, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Louisville, Los Angeles, New York, Oakland, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. Despite the simultaneous pandemics of coronavirus and racism, President Donald Trump has not only failed to address the country in a speech aimed to unify it, he has arguably made things worse with controversial tweets and actions. On Tuesday, June 2 in a speech made in Philadelphia, former Vice President and current Presidential candidate Joe Biden made a speech aimed at bringing Americans together. But while America is burning from coast to coast, can Joe Biden unite the country?
