A local student—Erika Seymore of Harlem—was recently recognized as Student of the Month by the Rotary in Hershey, Pennsylvania—where she is a student at Milton Hershey School. Erika is now a senior but has been living and learning at Milton Hershey School since eighth grade. For background, MHS is a residential school where students in pre-K through 12th grade receive quality education, have access to sports, clubs, and other extracurricular activities, and are supported by caring staff—all at no cost!
Erika is a leader in the classroom and in all her activities. She is involved in varsity soccer and basketball, is a member of the Mock Trial Team, and a member of the Student Government Association. This past summer, Erika even attended Stanford University’s Intensive law and trial program—an opportunity made possible with the school’s Career and Technical Education program and the Law, Public Safety, and Security pathway. After high school, she plans to study political science and criminology with the goal of becoming a Criminal Defense Attorney.
