As a founder and Managing Partner of Harlem Capital Partners(HCP), Henri Pierre-Jacques is an extremely accomplished man at a young age. A graduate of Northwestern University with a BA in Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School, Pierre-Jacques has also been presented with awards for Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30, Inc Magazine’s 30 Under 30, EBONY Magazine’s Power 100, and The Root 100, just to name a few accolades. But it was in middle school that his love affair with business first began.
“First time I learned about business, broadly speaking, was late middle school, eighth grade, when my mom first introduced me to the stock market,” Pierre-Jacques told The Harlem Times. His Mom told him she would double his allowance of $25 if he invested it into the stock market, and the savvy middle-schooler chose to invest. “I started to learn about the stock market and business and over time, because I loved math, it was my favorite subject, over time, I just began to focus more on business and reading,” the Detroit native recalled.
