Red Carpet Glamazons

Hollywood’s most memorable fashion moments happen on the famous Red Carpet. As paparazzi clamber over each other for the best shots of the hottest celebrity, the whole world holds its breath as they wait to see which starlet is really the belle of the ball. From the Oscars to Hollywood luncheons Red Carpet appearances swing the pendulum on whether each starlet is just an entertainer or a true icon. The most talented artist sometimes never make the fashion it list, while others always keep us gasping for more. The nostalgia of Hollywood Red Carpets have transcended into 2013 and the verdicts are in for the Glamazons who have been giving us non stop Red Carpet stunners.

Most Improved: Kelly Rowland
First up, is the most improved fashionista of Red Carpet style, singer Kelly Rowland. We have been watching her style evolution since the 1990’s at her tender age of 17. This year we can’t get enough of the TV personality who just hosted the pre show of the Oscars. Kelly has been busy making her appearance rounds wearing Red Carpet stunners at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards and the BET Honors, as well as at the AMA’s and a host of other events. The former girl band member has ditched the pleather crop tops and crimson streaks for a more refined sophisticated sexy. She has matured from the Destiny’s Child costume fashion roots and we are loving the new solo Kelly.  Wearing designers like Emilio Pucci, Fendi, Cavalli, and Victoria Beckham have upgraded her style meter. With her fabulous tone figure and her amazing fashion choices Ms. Rowland is motivating us all. Favorite Red Carpet Stunner: 2013 Grammy Awards in George Chakra Couture

The “It” Girl: Kerry Washington
This is the year of Ms. Kerry Washington. Who knew the Bronx native actress would transform from the cute around the way girl in Save the Last Dance to becoming the first black actress to hold the lead role in a primetime drama as the fabulous and flawless Olivia Pope in Scandal. Aside from making history with her extensive resume of big Hollywood movies, Ms. Washington has become quite the fashion connoisseur over the last few years with the success of her career. She has dominated Red Carpets all across  the globe and it is obvious that Kerry loves her a great pointed toe pump and a great floral dress. Her daring fashion choices are to be applauded, because after all who wants predictable fashion especially on the Red Carpet.  Favorite Red Carpet Stunner: 2013 London Premiere of “Django Unchained” in Giles Spring 2013

The Bohemian Soulstress: Solange Knowles
Don’t you dare call her “Beyonce’s little sister”. It is a pure insult to the uber talented singer/DJ/mom/model and naturalbelle. Alongside Kerry Washington and Tracee Ellis Ross, Ms. Knowles is also undoubtedly my fashion crush. Highlighted on Vogue’s list as one of the Best Dressed Women of 2012 it is more than obvious that Knowles is the Queen of unpredictable Red Carpet stunners. Known for her signature natural curly locks, Solange has mastered wearing African prints and also hipped fashion insiders to underground designers such as: Boxing Kitten, Rubin Singer, Maki Oh, and Flaminia Saccucci. Solange has captured that fashion world with her bold and abstract fashion style. Even if her style is not your taste, you can’t not deny that this Soulstress has so much fun with fashion. Favorite Red Carpet Stunner: 2012 Met Gala in custom Rachel Roy

The Petite Diva: Jada Pinkett-Smith
Mrs. Smith is the complete definition of a true chameleon in Hollywood. Hailing from streets of Baltimore the actress who once sported baggy jeans, Poetic Justice braids and captured our hearts as the spicy Lena James on A Different World has transformed into a philanthropist with tons of great style. Her petite frame has not once hindered her red carpet fashion sense. The supermom has glammed up the Red Carpets in a plethora of show stopping looks from floor length gowns to extoic mini dresses. The fabulous Jada does it all and has elevated the standard of moms over 40 and women with petite frames who can also have just as much fun as the Talls. Favorite Red Carpet Stunner: 2012 Cannes Film Festival in Versace for Madagascar 3

The Socialite: Angela Simmons
This Daddy’s girl has been heating up the fashion radar with numerous appearances all over Fall 2013 NYFW. Angela is becoming a new trendsetter that can be spied strutting all over the city in designers like, Tom Ford, YSL, Jeremy Scott. As the niece of Ms. Fabulosity herself, Kimora Lee Simmons, and the designer of her new brands Angela Renee and Pastry, Angela has the goods to translate great fashion style. In a recent interview with anunarose.com Angela states, “Really for me it’s all about the style of it, the cut of it, the fit of it and the tailoring, so I don’t really discriminate, like i don’t just do one designer or really like one specific designer. I wear so many different ones.” As we await the launch of Ms. Simmons’ collection “Angela Renee,” fashionistas are excited to see what she will be rocking next. Favorite Red Carpet Stunner: 2013 Fall NYFW at Vivienne Tam Sho
