Hikers will follow a ravine that is covered in an indigenous jungle, ending up on slopes of indigenous shrubs, and eventually reach Maclear’s Beacon, the highest point on Table Mountain and Cape Peninsula. A quick, 15-minute detour will lead to a “beach” at the historic Table Mountain reservoirs. This route has been made popular due to the variety of floral zones and full range of panoramic views.
